Sun cream

I have a many-year-old bottle of spray on lotion that's sticky as hell and gets into my eyes and stings them during runs. Also it doesn't absorb so after washing the offending stuff out of my eyes at a water station I'm burnt to a crisp (Bloody fair skin!)

Does anyone here have a favourite they use or any they'd recommend?

PS: Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the Gear forum.

  • P20.  Is expensive but waterproof (so good for those doing tris or who sweat a lot).  I hate wearing suncream but didn't find ths one too bad

  • Another vote for P20. They also do a factor 30 version now.

  • The cat tolerates P20 quite well too.  It's quite oily and runny though.

  • so... P20 then?

  • Once by Boots is good used it before P20 costs a fortune

  • That looks a lot cheaper than the rice I saw P20 going for. I think I may give that a go.

  • *price dammit!

  • P20 £15 in Morrisons at mo for big bottle. Dont think thats expensive for the best stuff really seing as you only need apply all over once a day.

  • I've used Once in the past and still have some that is about 5 years old and probably needs throwing out.  I didn't like it because it left me feeling sticky and slimey but it did keep the sunburn at bay

  • I'm currently using Prosport Factor 44 (comes in a range of factors) as I suffer from vitiligo and was beginning to find that the bits with no pigment were burning with P20.  I like it as although it's thick it does soak into the sKin easily. I always felt that P20 was really oily on my face - could cope with it on my body.

Equally expensive but sweatproof, waterproof etc.

  • Bananaboat sport for me.  It is sweat and water resistant and comes in factor 30 and 50.  It doesn't feel too sticky - I hate that.  It can be tricky to find the cream version here now, but you can also get an aerosol version which is handy if you don't have hand washing facilities eg at a race.

  • From a Red head, P20 is unbeatable put it on early it seems to rub into skin and stays through everything

  • P20 is cheaper now than it used to be, good value

  • you can also try Ultrasun - very very similar to P20 in that it's a once a day and is water resistant, but doesn't feel quite as oily as P20.   and yes they're both pricey but as has been said, they work!
