whooppeee!! what a relief - i was starting to get a bit worried, especially as i even iron the M&S non-iron stuff. Nothing better after a stonking good run on a Saturday morning!
Weird? Now let me see. People who get up at about 6 o'clock on a Sunday morning, travel to weird little towns, to run anything up to 26.2 miles in force 10 gales and pouring rain! Does that sound familiar! So who exactly is weird?
Err..excuse me. I said Mrs NRG-B loves to iron especially when watching soaps on TV. Some sort post-modern zen trance to find her inner peace having traversed the rigours of the day - I dunno.
oh yes, mindless cr@p on TV essential to ease away the tensions & stresses of the working day in a sweep of steam! Ultra iron - now there's a thought!!!!! I want to do marathons too.
Now that is weird!!! Now if you went round with a washer-dryer as well, you could sort out all your clothes for the week so you don't have to do it when you get home.
Exactly, fb: my mother-out-law was staying with us one weekend, and insisted on 'helping out' around the house. This included ironing Mr Kath's running shorts and melting the fabric, and leaving bleach in the (cast-iron) bath to clean, but of course not remove, a tiny little spot of limescale.
If only the search facility existed we could resurrect the old ironing thread. I have a fabulous tefal turbo iron with separate water tank (150 quid from Comet)but this is for my work I only iron at the end of an evening when it's already been on as a way of winding down. I confess to squeezing clothes in the shop to see if they crease and leave well alone if they do.

Anyway, not that I would, but if I did try to iron my shorts, I'd probably end up melting the synthetic material that they're made out of.
Erratic & Mrs NRG-B - ever thought of trying Extreme Ironing?
just a thought...

There are two kinds of runners, it appears - those who iron, and those who don't.
I'm firmly in the latter category - Mr Snail does all the ironing :-)
And I really look forward to the football and rugby on TV cos he's only allowed to watch them if he irons at the same time :-D
Is he allowed out at all?!
