Hi, im new on here just wondered if there was any books out there with lists on greatest runs, by greatest I mean nice location good views ect, Ive looked on the web and cannot find any, any help would be great.
Maybe what I class a great run, maybe bottom of your list
As long as the scenery and views are not bad i don't mind, I also like travelling a lot so any of your ideas will be ones I try as I like running in new and different places and seeing more of the country.

I'd look around your own area. The more you run the more great runs you find. I've been running 10 years and I'm still finding lovely places to run through locally. Look out for country parks or nature reserves or canals or rivers. I'd probably not actually travel to run a 'great run'.
Thanks, i've done a few country parks around my area which were enjoyable, i'll keep on looking
there's a lot of scenic routes listed in the Scottish trail running guidebook

Thanks for that, i'll be working up scotland later in the year so i'll give some of them a visit
I live by the sea, some of my greatest runs are when the winds are howling, the waves are crashing onto the beach with spray and sands whipping into my face - just great to be out.
Don't know about "great" but some of the routes I have on my to do list (whole or in stages) include:
Yorksire 3 peaks; Welsh 3000s; all 3 BG, PB & CR rounds; south & north downs ways; pembrokeshire coastal path; south west coastal path; west highland way; pennine way.
Some I have already done in part and I expect I have probably left out some good routes so this list will probably grow with time
