wiz, i recommend 1:1 swim sessions of you can afford ir . I went from 1:25 sans wetsuif to 1:11 with after some lessons and now 1:06 with consolidation

Funkin. Eecover for a month after hawii then bike all winter at a good power %and you will (hopefully)kill me on the bike in nice
Rhis gives me a target though - training started last week with a CP20 test to determine my FTP power.... its gone up in the last yeaf

Il be up for some smack down on the bike course as I count myself as more of a cyclist then anything!
I shall see what I can do with the swim.... I'm a 1:18 swimmer at the mo so can only get better!

I know we spoke about this before but I am liking the idea of The Train of Doom .. and have made some initial enquiries of a company who transport bikes to races through Europe, the costs on the website for bike transportation come in at around £150 and train fares from London St Pancras to Nice about £109 return if anyone is interested I will keep you updated
That sounds cheap Meldy! Do we have to ride a little distance on your broomstick!
For what it's worth I plan to go out a little earlyier for some 'warm weather' training on hills, staying at a friends place who lives three hours short on Nice. Having a 'van' I could fit a few bikes in. But you'd probably be without your bike for a month before the event!
The train of Doom may be an option

I dont quite remember the conversation but I dont think that is an option due to size ...
Wasn't the problem that bikes have to be sent the day before by train? With the obvious no guarantee of it being anywhere useful when you want it?

can't spomeone just drive a big van down with all the bikes and everyone else pay them..whilst relaxing in the train
Cant we just stow them away in a passing lorry ??
