I eat the delicious full fat stuff (and have managed to lose weight in the past while scoffing a kilo of it a week). It'll keep you feeling full for longer.
I quite like a toasted teacake after a run - really quick and easy to do, spread with a little Lurpak Lighter - I hope they're ok as a post run snack as I've become quite addicted to Wharburtons teacakes lately...
best advice is protein rich within 30 mins of exercise. It repairs muscle damage and will stop the sugar cravings you get if you eat sugary stuff. Don't overeat.. you quickly add back what you run off. A glass of milk and an apple gives you protein, good fats and fructose to replen the sugar stocks without carbing out or loading on sucrose which will give you an insulin spike and make you hungry again. As for feeling hungry again, it will pass. You've got the will power to go running, surely a bit more willpower to stop gorging shouldn't be too big an ask. And bin the fad diet, just exercise more, eat healthily and eat less. You reap what you sow.
I tend to have a soya milkshake (dislike normal milk). Proteins will fill you up so Greek style 0% is good - I eat mine with raisins and a bit of honey as well, anything like pulses, chicken or turkey will also be good sources of protein to help repair muscles.
Remember to try eat slowly as well - it takes time for your brain to realise you've had something to eat.
+1 for Also-ran's suggestion of porridge. I have yet to find anything that makes me feels as full as that stuff, mix in some fruit & nuts or granola if you find it "boring" on it's own.

Trouble is I usually eat within the hour of finishing my run but after about half an hour I am hungry again!!!!
Banana and a glass of water.
I tend to go with a couple of eggs on toast
Lovely, but I dont eat bread!
Oat crackers, rice cakes, rye bread, or sweet potato for the carbs then?
greek yoghurt and oat granola.
I tend to eat an orange covered in fat free yogurt but it dosent fill me up!

Thing is is that I follow the Slimming World plan and full fat yog is a no no!!!
i thought low fat yog can be worse?
i stick to full fat.
but don't take my advice, it may be why I am fat.
Low fat yoghurt is not as delicious.
Fat free is even less tasty!!!!
That Total 0% stuff is okay. At least it has a creamy texture.
(not that I eat it, obvs, am too busy hoovering up the 10% fat stuff).
If it's lower fat then isn't it higher in sugar? Sugar gives an energy hit but won't keep you feeling full?
Porrige - takes plenty of time to digest, slow working it's way through the sewage works. Hope that image helps.
