  • Thanks PS you will make my race!

  • I have XXL monaco & cycle top you can borrow, email me at n dot e dot motson at city dot ac dot uk & I can post them

  • Suppose I'm way too late to the party but anyone got a girls tank  - large available for Henley ?

I'm based in Wiltshire so pick up anywhere from Cardiff to West London plus north or south 100 miles possible.

  • I think Schmunks had some kit to lend. Not sure if on Henley thread!

  • No it's image, sorry I'm a dunce!

If anyone has a mens medium top I could beg, steal, borrow or pay for while I await my new stuff from Schmunks please. Needed for the Brutal half sept 21st. Live in North West, Southport........... Might just have to wea rmy swim cap if I can stretch it over my helmet (tut...tut.....cycle one that is!) Thanks.

    Hi 9sqrun

i will be doing the half brutal as my first longer race.  I will be wearing a pirate cycle top so give me a shout.

    M

  • Hi MM,

Wil do,if you are at the back like me!!!

I have a pirate swim cap only at the moment, so trying to fit that somewhere to fly the flag.

Have you had your entry pack yet? says on the email I got 6 weeks before?

  • MandMsMandMs ✭✭✭

I'll be near the back somewhere.  I emailed them in case I'd been forgotten with the race packs and was told that they will be available for down load at the beginning of September.

  • Thanks MM, been looking through bank statements to see if I had paid!!!

    Me too

  • MM - I am new to this - so a silly question.... I have a tri suit that will do for the swim / bike, but not to sure about running (crawling) a half mara up/down snowdon in it...is it best to change into running kit (bearing in mind we have to be checked over and put back packs on before being allowed to go up the big hill) so no rushing at T2 anyway?

    Or just MTFU!

  • I will be changing.  I did the bike and snowdon leg at the weekend and I want to be comfortable.  I also had a quick swim and it is v cold, but I think I need to MTFU

  • Oh yeah I also clock the run route at 15.5 miles so be ready for a smidgen further.

Hi Schmunks, if no one needs it for Henley would it be possible to try the large Monaco on for size? Im not sure if I need to order a large or xl. Thanks image

  • Both my monacos are with someone to trial but I have asked them to bring whichever one they won't be wearing in Sunday with them so I can lend it out to you

One problem I can foresee is finding the other person as well as you on Saturday (Are you doing the pre-race meal?)

Also, do you really want to wear a piece of kit for up to 17 hours that you have never worn before?

  • Spare Monaco will be brought to Henley

  • Schmunks - I'm not racing at Henley, sorry if I confused you, but if at all possible would love to be able to just try the large Monaco on for size so I can decide which size to order. Happy to pay postage to and from. Don't worry if its too much hassle for you though image

     I think that's easily doneimage
  • Rocco -  I am confused. Are you at Henley at all? If not, I am not really keen on posting a monaco out just to test for sizing.

I don't know where you're based, but is there no-one more local to you?

  • Nob off, Moreton image

(I work with someone with your surname and so I say that quite a lot to her. Great to be able to say it here,  too image

i did the manchester 100 and the hills werent that little at almost 3000 ft - alot more lumpy than i thought it was going to be image

  • My garmin said 3500, but never realy accurate...

Distance: 100.37 mi Time: 6:28:41 Avg Pace: 3:52 min/mi Avg Speed: 15.5 mph Elevation Gain: 3,566 ft Calories: 4,012 C
