Lytham Windmill Half Marathon

All set for a record number of entries for this event 525 (200 up on 20120). get there early to park, two large car parks north & south of Fairhaven Lake + street parking nearby. Additional feature this year, get your special finishers medal engraved, name & time at the finish (small fee) professional company. The cafe at the finish provides excellent food and drinks at reasonable prices.  **10.000 cyclist on the Manchester to Blackpool cycle ride will share the stretch along East & West beach Lytham, hopefully to chear you on as well, should be interesting.  Entry on the day accepted.

If you dont fancy a hot half marathon you could always do the holme howler 10k multi surface run 13-07-2013 up in milnthorpe near carnforth. Kids fun run and is part of the holme festival. Medal + T-shirt to all finishers and lots for family to do whilst your running see you there.

Teperature for Sunday 20/22c (slightly less 10.00/11.00am) Nice sea breeze, plenty of biottles of waterat 4 stations, medical back up just 2 minutes at any part of the course. 526 entries, 25 on the day accepted. NO I PODS or MP3 PLAYERS please help with this request, open roads on 2 x 1.5 mile stretches

it was hot yes, but the guys at the water stations were on hand and there was a lot of medics around.
