    I think you mean "worst".

  • Meet Joe Black, appalling film

I really disliked Cloverfield. The first 20mins before the monster arrives is interminable, then it's just a load of shit.
  • The Matrix. I hated it.image

  • "Stealth".

  • Battleship

and the new Dredd film is pretty shit as well

  • The Royal Tenenbaums. Dire.

  • Agree about the Royal Tenembaums but some people seem to love it. I'm not a Wes Anderson fan at all. Did he make any decent films?

This is a slightly odd subject in as much as that, surely if you watch a bad film you turn it off(I did with the above). The worst film that was so car crash bad that I actually watched most of it was Woody Allen's Match Point. Can't even rember why it was so bad !!

  • Well I was in the cinema and had paid to watch it - it's painful to admit. I will say though, it was my OH's choice of film, not mine.

Second worst was probably the Starsky & Hutch remake. That I had paid for on box office but actually did turn off.

I suppose you can guess though, that, after those experiences, I harbour a deep and murderous hatred for Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller.

  • Did you give up on it, Baby?

    I certainly did!

Paul Glaser and David Soul were like Olivier and Gielgud by comparison.

  • The Anchorman.

So many people I know have this down as one of their must-see films, but I just don't get it.

Only two films have I tried to watch (as they are termed 'popular') and have always switched off after dying of boredom within the first hour: Gladiator & Schindlers List

  • Lost in Translation. awful, tedious film.

And, the Langoliers. Good Stephen King book, but dreadful film.

  • I once had to watch piranha 3D as part of a stag weekend it was the worse place of sh*t I have ever seen. Make worse by all the good actor’s in it. When Elizabeth Shoe and the Doc from back to the future can’t save a film you know it’s bad.image

  • Watched scary movie 5 last night and that was dire. I'd rather stick a fork in my eye than watch it again. I will never get that 75 minutes of my life back

  • Eyes Wide Shut

I walked out of the cinema with this one.

Also The Notebook - biggest load of clap trap every (I wanted to throw things at the tv)

Mamma Mia (walked out of that one too)

  • I see none of you have ever watched "On Deadly Ground". Starring what can only have been the reanimated corpse of Steven Seagal.

Seek out a film called 'Driving Force' starring Patrick Swayze's brother Don.  It centres around the violent feud between two rival tow-truck companies.

Improbably, it's much worse than it sounds.

    Thankfully not image

  • I once had to sit through The Proposal, a Sandra Bullock / Ryan Reynolds romantic "comedy". Probably the worst I've seen in the last few years.

Other poor films I've watched lately (all on TV) - AvP Requiem, Bruce Almighty, Revolver.

  • With Pirana 3D and anything starring Steven Seagull you can guess its going to be pretty poor.  the worst film I recall that might have been good is Snow White: a tale of terror, staring Sigourney Weaver and Sam Neal.

It has big names and good production and I expect the director intended it to be quite highbrow and arty.  However, the producers probably decided it was too long or too boring or something and chopped huge chunks out.  The end result made absolutely no sense at all.

  • A Single Man with Colin Firth.

  • Perfect Storm.............man goe to sea in bad weather aginst advice, dies , the end.

Bizzarely my brother thinks it is a great film, amazing how big an argument we can have over it if alcohol is involved.

How long do you watch a film for before deeming it crap. I'll give it 10 minutes max. If it hasn't hooked me by then, the directors an overpaid idiot.

  • The 2nd Charlies Angels film,

    Total garbage (IMO)

  • Rutger Hauer has been in some distinctly 'B' movies. Blind Fury springs to mind- although my memory of it is a little blurry as a few beers had been consumed beforehand.

My local video store (back in the day) used to have a number of films from the Golan Globus Production company which were uniformly dire.  The other one which sticks in the mind is a hopelessly misconcived "adaptation" of the Gor novels, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095241/

Blind Fury and the first couple of Segal films aren't bad !

My vote goes to Fatal Attraction - that and Schindler's list are the only films I've paid to watch I'd have left early if I hadn't been with the other half.
