When I first started running I ran way too often and developed shin splints. After resting for a while I started running again.
Firstly I ran 1k at a slow pace - slight fatigue in the calves but no problem
Two days later I ran 2k at a much faster pace. While there is no pain along the bone, my lower leg is very tender and it hurts slightly when squeezed. I would like to stress that there is zero pain on the bone even when pressure is placed on it.
I am not sure whether or not this is normal. Is it just muscle fatigue or have I still not fully recovered from my shin splints?
