Wondering if anyone can help...
Since January 2013 I have been totally plagued with shin splints in my dominant right leg. I have been to physio and seen a podiatrist who has prescribed me a set of orthotics to address my flat feet. I thought at the time that this would be the end to all my problems however this was not the case. I have been doing a set of exercises everyday and I also try and ice my shins for at least 20 minutes per day. I am starting a new job very soon and I need to be able to run for at least 1.5 miles. I would like to be on top form when I start. Has anyone else been in the same position?
Is there anyway to get rid of this?
Should I continue running short distances and build it up if the pain isn't too bad?!
p.s I have also been to the hospital and they have ruled out a stress fracture!
