  • But Mr Foo 100 yards behind you would still be in your draft image

  • I'm not fat, I'm errrr big boned

    It's glandular I tell you

  • image Yes and I am a lovely 6ft bloude and not fat ever. image

  • I take it as a compliment getting drafted. It often means the person wants to be as fast as you but ultimately they cant because they are hitching a ride and not taking a turn.

  • If someone drafted me I'd have a party and declare it a National holiday image

  • yes Meldy but who else HAS a broomstick?

    HA !!!!!!

I got so cold waiting for you I had to put my jacket back on image

  • I wouldn't mind it unless like a few weeks ago a guy latched on to the tale of my friend and I who were hammering it along this straight until the end of the road 8 miles later where he pulls up at the junction and launches into a rant about a woman who had drafted him a few weeks earlier and how rude it was.  He then thanked us for the draft and left,

    Go figure!

  • Had a chap on a touring bike with panniers cycle alongside me a few years back and start up a conversation. I wouldn't have minded but I was in a race and eventually had to ask him if he wouldn't mind not cycling like that in case a marshall saw us and had me for drafting.
He as OK with it and so cycled off with ease and left me behind cycling as hard as I could image

  • Argh, the same guy did it to me again last night.  He's going so slowly that even when he jumped some red lights I caught up with him within a mile.  When I over take, there he is peddling like a demon to keep up. image

This time I stopped at a junction that you don't need to stop at so he was forced to go past, he then had to peddle for his life trying to keep up the pace. Mwha haha.

Yes, I'm a grumpy cow image

  • I tell you what, some people (always guys) get really fecked off when you overtake them on one of these:

  • I often have a bit of a chat to myself on the bike or a sing song like Cake, but when its windy I often scream or shout into the wind (I'm sure this is normal), I was doing this when I realised I had a chap on my wheel, I wasn't sure how long he'd been there but as he past he wished me good morning and then went like the clappers.

I had a nice group of cyclist pass me on the bike leg of the Wild Boar, the last man asked if I wanted to jump on, I would have if I could have kept up, is it classed as drafting if you are drafting non competitors?

  • JP - I'm with you swearing loudly at the weather, not sure this makes it normal image

Had to overtake a time trialler recently on my extended commute home, felt a bit awkward really, he asked where my number was too, oops

  • image hehe, he should have drafted you then, lol.

I regulary shout abuse at the wind too image

Maybe I'll check him out next time then!

  • Pingu !!!  You daft tart, thats the *first* thing you should doimage

  • Damn it, I feel a fool!  Here I am slagging him off and he could be a proper hottie!  image

  • Or a murderer image

  • I'm glad to see that others sing/swear whilst cycling.  In my last triathlon I sang about being lost and not having seen any signs and where were the signs in my best operatic voice until I came round the corner to see a marshall grinning at me.image

I was glad he just pointed at the turn I should take and didn't sing "turn left here"...

Hahaha!  I was going to suggest that if it continues to bother you, just turn round and say "If the police do catch up, you can alibi me for the last hour, yes??"

If he says "okay", peddle faster and get the feck out of there!!!

I can't imagine ever being drafted!! hehehehe

  • Blimey, you cyclists are a grumpy lot!

  • I'm going to find out Pingu's plans and draft her all day now. image
