Have a 10 mile race this Sunday, but have missed about 7 months training since last September. Have only been training conservatively i.e. running slowly on grass. Ran at 7.00 pace last year and even though I have not raced at all this year part of me wants to just go with how i feel on the day and see what happens. The other part says just relax and treat it as a training run and enjoy the day, and don't risk setting my recovery back. Not sure how i will react on the day, anyone have experience of this dilemma?( Ran 5 mile yestreday at 7.30 pace, 85% HR )
