I've been running now since '94 and although I'm fairly pleased to have kept moderately fit over the last 9 years I know I'm not really progressing v much.
What it boils down to is this: I'm slow. 10 min miles are comfy and that's what I stick to. My fastest ever race was a 5k completed with 7:30 min miling and I was almost sick afterwards!
I'm thinking that if I joined a club I might be more structure/motivation in my training and so I put out the following plea:
does anyone know of any good clubs in W London (I live in W4) that would welcome a keen slowcoach like me???
Did once email W4 Harriers but never got a reply back. :-(
