I just entered after getting the RW email this morning. Quick questions for those who know the race, I did the Three Forts earlier this year and my feet got a real pounding from stones while using road shoes - do I need a pair of trail specific shoes for this one?

i would reccomend trail shoes
you can wear road but you need some grip its pretty dusty and there are some real big bit of flint out there
Good luck to you all - I did it last year, and everything else since has been easy. Maybe it'll be marathon-length this year (I'm only now getting over the despair of reaching mile 26 and finding out there was still a couple more to go...)
