A new hazard: fireworks

Like many of you i've had the occasional unpleasant experience with dogs and jeering kids, though last Sunday was the nastiest incident i've ever encountered.
After nearing the end of my LR i decided to finish with a lap of my local recreation ground. As i approached near a group of youths a firework came whooshing past me and exploded loudly. After recovering from the shock of it i,perhaps unwisely,went over to remonstrate with the youths and
was met with aggressive abuse and threats. Luckily i still had enough energy to retreat and head for home.
Scary...
Still the trainings going well; roll on Dublin.
