...when you run for the first time in ages after being injured, and feel like its made you better, not worse!
+2. A great feeling!
+3 only 10 mins total at 1 walk 1 jog but it's great to be back
+4. Not been injured but did my longest run at Carlisle today at 13.1m. Not ran anywhere near that distance since 14.10.12 at Liverpool marathon. 2hr 17 min. Miles off best but ran with a friend who is about that pace normally. Enjoyed it.
Nice one MC ( Schmunks etc )
Excellent, top work, people! It must be 'return from injury' week! If my physio OKs my shoulder, I shall be out for a minor bimble later!
I am unreasonably excited
For doG's sake don't get back on board the bike until you've invested in some bubble wrap or some stabilisers, eh Crashie!!
I have no idea where I get this reputation from...
I think the clue maybe in the name
D'you reckon?
Physio says 'non' Apparently all the impact will destabilise my shoulder; another couple of weeks on the bench...
Never mind..... just think how much sweeter that first run will be for the waiting!
It's no great drama, she didn't say I couldn't walk, so I can get some fresh air at least
and I'm glad that so many others are back at it again!
I tried to run with a separated shoulder a few years back. I was very happy to rest a while longer!
And FWIW I've been back in my trainers this time for 14 great weeks!
I'm also back in the runnning game after 6 months away and loving every minute of it.
Agreed - I was off for 6 months after my hip replacement last year, when I finally "ran" (more of a jog really) on Christmas day I felt wonderful.

Only 20 miles but at a good average speed, so I am bagging that as a win
