Following a recent marathon, the usual aches went after about 3 days, but there was continuing discomfort at my left adductor insertion. It got better after another 2 days, then I did a parkrun, then a 13 mile run the next day. On the last mile of the 13 miles, the discomfort at the adductor insertion started again.
I've rested it, iced it, used anti-inflammatory gel on it. Is there anything else I can do to help it along it's way? Should I be doing any specific physiotherapy exercises at this stage? I found some adductor strengthening exercises online, but wasn't sure if I should be resting my leg completely or get on with these exercises. It doesn't stop me from doing things, but the slight discomfort is there.
