I recently bought a pair of Asics Kayano 18's.
These were the comfiest shoes I tried on and according to the 'Shoe Type' test I did in the shop the correct one for my feet.
My issue is after about 5 minutes of running I get an awful burning sensation run down my calf and achilles. It disapeared after a while then came back intermitently. I found after 3 / 4 miles the pain disapeared and they felt great to run in but the start of the run is very uncomfortable.
I'm not sure if I am not running correctly in these shoes, I have a feeling I may be heel striking, but I have never had this kind of problem before and wondered if anyone had similar experience.
