Is this Plantar Fasciitis?

Hi All,

 

I have no pain in my heel at all but the inside of my sole is very sore and aggravated by any exercise and/or after period of inactivity (such as sitting at my desk!). It started on Saturday after a run, Body Pump and yoga.

 

I have flat feet and I overpronate. I wear Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 (they are due to be replaced next month).

 

Any advice/feedback/suggestions most welcome.

  • whenever I get tightness at the bottom of my feet I try and find something to roll under it.  Such as placing a tennis ball (or golf ball) on the floor, and then just rolling my foot over it - trying to concentrate the effort where it hurts the most. 

    I would say that this works well for me to combat muscle soreness, and no idea what impact it would have on an actual injury.

  • if you have flat feet and overpronate i would suggest some foot strengthening exercises will help.

    your arch muscles probably need a bit of a workout.

    the tennis ball thing is good too

    that sort of pain can also be caused by sore calf muscles
