Well congratulations to the 5 that got through!!!! Amazing achievement!!!!!!!! And to the rest of us I hope you are not tooo sad, just think how well we did to get through as far as we did!!!
I wanted to ask if anyone was planning to do the Manchester Marathon (sorry if this has already been mentioned) or whether anyone has done it previously?

I think I am Charlie, its a great course apparently for a pb, I went to watch the first year and it poured down throughout, so hopefully we'll get lucky with the weather, although Manchester is well known for miserable weather.
Yeh that's what I heard too ... flat course ... might be a good one for a first time marathon runner?!?!! Plus its up north ...
!! Northerners are the best ;D!

Oooo, the list! Forgot all about it with all the asics excitement! Whilst keeping up with who's who and what's what with the competition, I've managed to squeeze in another and have signed up for a little 10k jog at Sheffield at the Great Yorkshire Run on 28 Sept
Malcs, the internal debate re:manchester is on-going. I was contacted by someone on facebook after I was unsuccessful in the 262 competition, and they've offered to analyse my training and write me a sub 3 plan, it’s an offer that's too good to ignore. I'm also tempted to put my name forward for the Forum 6 as it'd be good to have the support/knowledge from a mentor along with other forumites.
That sounds very interesting Paul, surely you have to take it!
I assume if you don't do Manchester you'll do another one?
The Forum 6 was brilliant last year. I followed Sarah O who had Minni and they were both amazing.
Go for it Paul, blaze the trail to sub 3.
Place me down for Brighton on April 6th Lord Malcs. You can swan off to Paris if you want, I will be in Good Old Sussex by the Sea, the only place to be.

2014 running diary starting to fill fast
Great North Run for me (6th year running!) too plus Thunder Run pair and Belvoir Challege (15 miler) on 1st March!
Looking forward to leading a new 12 week beginners group for Striders in the new year and encourage more people to become crazy runners!
