ok .. it may take a little while to get these threads done as I am on a wind up computer
I have the results
The adjudicator has not read any of the threads and has based the very difficult decision on commitment, positivity and the passion for what they do. It was a hugely difficult task as you can imagine.
We have decided on 5 categorys given that everyone is extremely committed and no one was content with a 'just finish' We will also include the Runner Up in the thread so as to give them the recognition and to encourage them to join in as well, in the unlikely event of injury or demotivation then we will also have someone to fall back on ...
So from KK and myself, lots and lots of thank yous to the mentors for volunteering their time and to everyone who put themselves on the line for pitches, this really wouldnt work without you
Be nice to the mentors, I know some of them are a little nervous too ...
Congratulations to the winners of the forum 6, this competition is one of my most favourite things on the forums.
I know that the judge had an incredibly difficult time in choosing as there were many worthy pitches. I think one of the best things about this venture is that the threads are always so incredibly well supported by forumites and that's what makes it. The chat.
Looking at some of the mentor/mentee pairings this year I think we're in for another year of great support, banter, advice and friendship.
I raise a glass (of rather disgustingly sweet schnapps and lemonade) to all, and I'll be back to join in the forum discussions at the end of February.
Last but not least thank you to the mentors. And of course Meldy for all her hard work, especially given that she had to do all the 'front of house'. Job so well done.

Bed? What's that?
Meldy-I think i know the answer but the impartial judge - do they read what the other forumites think? Or is it solely based on the entry?
I need to get out and do my 13! but want to wait to see if I am successful first
what a lovely day it is! can't wait to get out there and run! feeling good too after 8 bottles of beer last night.... considering!
I'd go now Rich before the last of the beer wears off!!
I had half a bottle of cherry brandy and am not at all inclined to get out and run. Might make the wait easier I suppose! I will if you will... :P
Are you all sitting down
I don't drink alcohol at all
Is that why my running times are so bad?
Should I start drinking?

Happy new year too, been off on my jollies and not been on here for a while, although still been running.
