SuperCaz - what about collecting stuff from Expo? Is it organised? I can manage Friday mid dayish if needed, but am still a bit fragile so rush hour travel is out.
This is where we will be, on the right hand side, immediately after the water station and before the crossing
RR, I have plenty of balloons left over from last year, balls of string to secure them with, cable ties to secure the signs, and bags for decanting jelly babies and jaffa cakes into. I will also bring canes for securing the signs and some basic first aid items (compeed, ibuprofen, paracetamol, suncream, vaseline)
If anyone else can bring some paper plates to cut things up on, and knives or penknives for cutting food and cable ties then it would be appreciated
This is the only photo I can find from Mudchute last year. Taken from the supporters side of the railings before the race started, but it gives you an idea of what the balloons look like
Pop along to group 5 and let them know what you look like, when to expect you at Mudchute and whether you require any special needs
Last chance for runners to get allocated to groups is tomorrow night as the supporters will start traveling down to London after that and may be out of contact. If anybody misses out on a group then they are still welcome to come over and say hello. We will have lots of miscellaneous goodies for those who don't leave any special needs at Expo
If anyone else is able to pop along, especially on Thursday, then that would be great. It sounds like our runners are being easy on us this year and not leaving much so I don't think we will be too burdened down with baggage
RunningRodent there is a red TKMaxx bag at RW stand containing brownies and banana cake for you supporters. If too much of a ball-ache to carry it down you'll just have to eat it before the weekend!
Thanks to Super Caz I'm now aware that I have responsibilities! I can bring a suitable pen knife for cutting cable ties. I'll also bring some Fizz and beer and some savoury snacks
Hi guys - just looking thorough a few VLM threads before I head off to the Expo to pick up my number. Just want to say that it's fantastic what you're doing and I'll look out for you at mile 16. Hope everyone has a great day - runners and supporters alike
Becks, Hash and myself are all aiming to get there for 8am. Knowing what I am like, I will probably be there from about 7:30 because I have a real thing about being late
Thank you so much to everybody that helped out at Muchute yesterday. Despite a few hitches it all went very smoothly in the end and I think we managed to see most of our runners.
Big thanks to Ben RW for leaving us a bag full of goodies for the runners. That was a lovely surprise
Thank you to all the runners too, for making the day so enjoyable. There were hugs, kisses and tears but also lots of smiles and you all looked amazing considering how hot it was. It was lovely to see so many friends, new and old and to be able to put faces to those I have only spoken to on line.
Thank you for those who provided us with cakes and fizz. The homemade cakes went down a treat.
I hope that all the runners are not too stiff today and are getting a chance to rest their legs and show off their bling.
One final note from me, the success of Mudchute relies on willing volunteers. It is hard work but very satisfying to feel that you could be making a difference to somebodies race. If you aren't running next year, please consider coming along to support, even if you can only make it for a couple of hours. The running community needs you

Right hand side of the road.
We'll be shouting 'Jelly Babies; Jaffa Cakes; and Get of the bloody phone.'
Right after the water station.
I will be the supporters side of the fence on Sunday if you need an extra pair of hands

Hi - am iI too late to join as a runner? Sorry for being so disorganized!
Of course you're not too late... yet
Pop along to group 5 and let them know what you look like, when to expect you at Mudchute and whether you require any special needs

Schmunks, can you bring a camera? Or can anyone else bring one? I don't own one so am reliant on others to provide evidence for us
I think someone asked about Expo runs. I've been a bit lazy about keeping track of it but I think we have the following so far:
Wednesday:
Thursday:
Friday: Sweetest Thing
Saturday lunch time: Mike Frog
Saturday closing: SuperCaz
If anyone else is able to pop along, especially on Thursday, then that would be great. It sounds like our runners are being easy on us this year and not leaving much so I don't think we will be too burdened down with baggage
SuperCaz - that's great. Many thanks. V
SuperCaz - that's great. Many thanks.
I'm going to the Expo tomorrow, if there's anything there at lunchtime I'll pick it up.

Supercaz -if he hasn't already, Plum is going to contact you direct about the helium.

M Dot you'll have more luck if you look out for us at mile 17
That sounds like a better idea
I'll also bring my camera, and I'll go to asda and get anything missing or more supplies. I'll be at Mudchute around 10:30ish.
Thanks everyone.
RR, yes Plum has been in contact.
M Dot, we are between miles 16 and 17, but closer to 17. If you see the 17 mile marker then you have gone too far
I now have a car full of canes for attaching signs to. Just need to get my own sign made now
What time are people arriving tomorrow? I have a stash of cake to drop off. Is someone likely to be there at 8?

Right, this is me signing off until Monday. Good luck to all the runners and I look forward to seeing both runners and supporters tomorrow
I have collected a bunch of stuff from the RW stand at Expo, but I wasn't able to take it all. I said that Supercaz would be in later for the rest.
There is a separate box for Fetchie stuff.
I also met Ben RW while I was there.
Good luck to all runners!
