adidas MD 2 or avanti 2 for track training sessions?


I've been taking part in regular weekly track based training sessions with my running club for the last few months and have been considering getting a pair of track spikes for these sessions.

The track sessions cover intervals varying from 400-1600m covering around 6-8k in total depending on the session, not including warm up and cool down laps.

As adidas have their last season colour MD 2 and avanti 2 shoes at half price at the moment, I was looking to take advantage of this sale and get a pair of track spikes.

What would be peoples recommendations for these type of track training sessions?  The avanti looks like it would be the better choice, but I'd be interested to get feedback on the MD 2.
