Hello all, this is my first topic so i'll try not to ramble.
Male, 22yrs old. Londoner. Ex Smoker, Light drinker.
I had a resolution to get into running this year, as I haven't really been doing ANY activity since leaving school and getting a bit Chubby! But never took it up until February and since then i've done 4 workouts, three at 5k and one at 10k,earlier today. I joined the Turbo 10k race challenge and decided to aim to break 50mins and i really surprised myself and easily broke it by running in 45:15 secs.
So I was wondering if anyone could give me any guidance on possibly now breaking 45mins? ( I can give the breakdowns for each KM if needed) And how often and what distance i should be running?
I was a social smoker for 2 years but haven't had a cigarette this year and only drink when i go out with friends on the weekend, would also love to join an athletics club maybe next year and start competing soon, this running has really become an addiction for me!
Thank you all
Ooh, also, any races coming up that might be good for me to start off at?

Yeah, that was when i was in school, under 17 category. Since I left school, i left the club and haven't competed or even ran for a few years now. But as its a new year, trying to get back into it!
Talking about 4-5 years ago now.
I remember that race at Wolverton. You were ahead of me until around halfway. I can hardly forget a club mate.
