  • Looking forward to it whatever the course. Inskip was great! Sounds like a nice spot to trot! image

  • Loved inskip & will be signing up for this, Alan puts on a great event that are superb value for money.

    hope there's hot pot again!

  • Easter Saturday Half Marathon

  • No hotpot this time but you wont be disappointed, And yes in my opinion it is one of the fastest road half marathons courses I have ran on. I have ran this on a training run 5 times and just know if people that enter are fit and ready on the day then you will get your PBs. At Inskip we had 155 runners world entrants and it would be nice to see you all again on the 19th April best of look with your running Alan T.
  • Hi Alan. If you recall, I won a free entry via Inskip entry. Do I collect on day or will you post it?

  • On the day mate I have all your details and will send you an email with final details a week before.
  • Cheers Alan. Looking forward to it. Not sure I`ll be in PB shape but we`ll see. Kids looking forward to horses!image

  • Not long now and really looking forward to this one. We are going to make a short break of it with the kids.

Any course map out yet and gradients etc like Garmins give etc?

    Coral
  • Will have map and garmin info done in the next few weeks and will be put on here and Face book.
  • Hope to have all the course details in the next few days as the course measurer has just finalised the start and finish at the weekend.
  • Any details yet Alan?

After the cancelation of Arley Hall this weekend (my warm up for Valiants) I'm chomping at the bit!

Shame about my home race, Sheffield, lots of friends very upset.

  • Ay, def on Alan? Any info about pony rides!

  • Having words with the equestrian people on Wednesday and will have all the race data by then. I will post asap, hope none of you where effected by the Sheffield Half.
  • We were watching and dishing out jelly babies near SUFC, Alan. I decided not to enter this time as I don`t think it`s worth £26+ to enter and I`d had issues with the shoddy organisation of it previously. image

  • For some reason the garmin site wont let me in so cant get the profile yet but I will keep trying. Pony rides are of because of guess what yes H&S. but they will try and see about donkey rides whats the difference. The course map will be on face book as I cant put it on here for some reason.
  • Cheers Alan. What`s the FB site?

  • Trying to get another data device and someone with more know how on the old computer, as I tried to put it on face book but with no joy.
  • Everything looking good to go alan?  No issues etc?

I'm well Ready for this one image

  • Yes all is ok water ordered, food sorted, medals done, eater eggs laid. Could just do with a few more entrants as only up to 140 but its not all about numbers it about the runners.
  • Egyptian is Number 1 in the Valiants half marathon 2014.
  • 2 car loads of us coming from Carlisle Alan, looking forward to it!!

  • Hope you all like bacon sandwiches and easter eggs see you on Saturday.

Lol! Thanks Alan, that`ll really make my day. Gotta be better than at Mansfield once where I was 666!
Just need kids` info. Is there anywhere on route they could watch from a playground - that worked well at Inskip. Or is there plenty to see and do at the equestrian centre?

    Easter eggs! Yes!

  • Ive entered this too, looking forward to it though saying its a PB course has put a bit of pressure on image

  • I've tried tried my best to get a few donkeys for the kids to ride at weekend but with no joy a they are all either on blackpool prom or want a lot of money to turn up so sorry. I will make sure we have thing for the kids next year and will start to plan it once race day is over.
  • Alan

Race HQ opens at 8:30 and race is at 10:30?  Do we pick up number on day from HQ and if so what is the latest you can pick it up?

    Cheers
