I'm seriously bored of pasta. Don't mind breadaand always a fan or corn flakes! Heading off in the morning for Chester. Nice stroll round if it isn't tipping it down by before snuggling up to Lenny Henry in the Chester Premier Inn.
Wish I felt hungrier but haven't been at all really. Must be the lower mileage or something. I have been making a big effort to drink lots of water though.
Need to choose something comfy and cosy to wear after the run.
I'm still umming and aahing. At the moment I'm thinking 4h 30. I need to have a look at the pace for that time and have a look at my timings on training runs to see the difference although my legs do feel quite fresh and they feel like they've got some speed in them so I may well go for it.
Thanks Heather. Leaving about midday I think. Wishing you a good journey too and a great run. Be confident. You've done your training so trust your body. It won't let you down
Had a dream whilst I was dozing this morning that i was lining up for London marathon amongst the thousands of other runners and I was thinking something wasn't right. Then realised I did not have my race number and chip! So I have now taken race pack out of the cupboard ready to be packed first!
In the past I have forgotten the chip for London!
A great big GOOD LUCK to everyone. Likely to be signing off now as going to pack etc. I'll probably lurk and read other posts on my phone when I'm in Chester.
I'm really looking forward to reading everyones race reports after the event. Have a good run.
The weather here in Warrington is pretty miserable too (not far from Chester), but hopefully the forecast is accurate and it does improve for tomorrow.
Is there anything specific that we need to do once we arrive at the course in the morning. I can't see anything mentioned in the race pack, so I just presume we need to arrive in good time for the 9am start.
Wishing everyone a safe journey and best of luck tomorrow! We'll be just fine.
About to leave now. Butterflies churning nicely. Good luck everyone, you all sound like you've done enough training to get round. Feel free to say hello if you see me. I'll have a white Wolves & Bilston AC vest on and black shorts. I'll be wandering between the 3.30 and 3.45 pace group trying to decide which to go with.
First marathon doing this tomorrow for me. Just a quick question, I've received my race number due to booking on late, what kind of ID do I need to pick up my number from the help desk in the morning? Thank you. Good luck everyone!
So nervous now. Open morning at school earlier and barely could answer any parents' questions, was just chugging water and pacing around looking terrified.
Need to be strong and not wimp out.... But the thoughts of last year's injury are now weighing heavily on the mind
Got the runs - thanks for confirming and good luck tomorrow.
Similar to RichieP, I'll be running with the 3:30 group and then hoping to stick with them for the full duration, or if not then aiming to finish in front of 3:45 group.
That's the plan anyway, but the main goal is to simply try to enjoy myself.
Will run with the 4.30 pace group. just been out in Chester for some non alcoholic beers and bowl,of pasta. Butterflies flapping away now at hotel. Dont think i'll sleep much tonight!
Excited about tomorrow and should probably be asleep by now but staying at Mother's and her neighbours seem to be having some kind of party in the back garden. Most uncivilised.
Doing Chester for the second time - first time was 2012 and I actually came dead last so tomorrow has got to be better than that, right?!
Perfect conditions for a marathon. Slightly chilly start, warming up later.
What a brilliant event. Very well organised, friendly people, excellent pace runners. Spot on the pace, making sure everyone was ok and handing out drinks and gels. I hope the one that fell over is ok. Massage at the end well worth ??5.
Managed to overtake the 3.30 group on a hill at about 17 miles and finished in 3.27.08.
That's it for me. I'm retiring from full marathons. Sticking to the halfs now.
Fantastic day looking forward to Chinese and beer !. I'm really pleased my calf held up reasonably well and managed 3.39. I was ok up until 21 then ran/walked until 22, got a bit of a second wind then. The only thing that pee'd me off a bit was zig zagging through the metric marathon runs who we're walking / talking and paid no attention to anyone trying to get round them! Managed to hold off the cramp for a spring finish!

Pouring with rain in Scotland. About to head off. Already looking forward to my first beer after the race!
Hilly88 - I just asked the same question at Race HQ. There's nothing to do tomorrow morning but turn up and head for the start line.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow! I look forward to hearing your race stories on here.

Up before my alarm as well!
