Number collected, was good and just bought one thing at the expo, not expecting a good run tommorow as have had a cold all week thanks to the small person who lives in the house but planning on enjoying the run.see you all tommorow!
Well I'll start at 4:30 but give that up after 1km then just plod
Campsite 26.2m from the finish spooky!!! But wrong side of loch; going to just get to the start I think, seems mad getting to the end 3 hours early to go out to the start
Trail Snail: if you want an old fashioned pub the Castle Tavern (easy stagger from the finish opposite the Castle) or the Phoenix (Academy St, same owner) are the best bet. Can't help you with anything trendier!
MacPerky: I did wonder if I'd get any runners needing last minute repairs, working as the emergency dentist for Inverness today. Sadly I'm on tomorrow too, precluding any running.
Good luck to all who are running, enjoy our wee corner of the world.
Well done everyone, God those hills! I managed to finish in 4:54:31 which included a stop at the first aid for plaster for my blisters. Really pleased with that. Now to recover with a nice meal and a few drinks.
Had a nightmare run stopped at halfway and was going to quit as this cold really took it out of me but stuck it out and ran 4hours and 2 seconds.well done everyone
Good to meet some folks today And of course had to chase Booktrink down lol. Steph, many thanks - what a sport! Managed 4:41:42 so although a way off target it was a PB by 9 whole seconds!!! (Unofficial time, will check tomorrow).
Gold for me, but definitely sharing the honours with Nurse Ratched who got me to the starting line when I was close to wimping out. I wasn't shit!! 4.18, so 4 mins faster than EMF on a much more challenging course. New pb for me ( and a negative split to boot!). Bit achy, and feet looking pretty mangled but so pleased to have done it.
Oh, and I won a goody bag from Bryan Burnett @ the pasta party
Well done everybody! Raising my ( literal, not figurative) glass to you all!
Sooo poo break of 5 minutes at dores? (Mid hill) cost me a sub 5h, oh well that's life. Managed to meet Ecce and paid up on the bet... Only 20m behind.... Might have tried harder if I knew but realistically was just to tired, basically my alternate taper strategy does not work so don't bother trying it
Oh regarding the feet talk.... No idea took outer socks off still got same inner ones on and shoes back on will be home by 1 will collapse in bed and look at them tomorrow.

Why am I up so early? Oh yeah, some kind of long run or something.
Good luckeveryone.
Morning Pete, this early rise is ridiculous, I will need a sleep at 10.
Nurse - sorry to hear you are not running.
good luck everyone and hope to see you soon, at least at the start, maybe not the finish.
Eek! Almost time
no breakfast, oops. Fish n chips last night, oh well
Hair still pink
Whisky is appropriate for the dog.
OH just said 2 bottles of whisky at stake so run fast!! PMSL stiff from first night in tent in years, panic
Any news yet? Can't remember the start time- but surely someone must have finished by now!
Hope you all had fun!
I'm wearing a gel belt , that has a pocket which holds phone n money
Managed to under 4 hours at 3:54 official time so happy with that. Had to walk a few times at the drinks stations but my feet were creaking later on.
Not sure I want to ever do that again!!
Awwwwww you lot are awesome. I am very jealous and am now really feeling sad that I couldn't run it. Next year.
Saw booktrunk and pete, and I think I saw Hope crossing the bridge
Now sitting outside a pub on the riverside clapping the last runners home. And sipping wine. For medicinal reasons, you understand

I bloody did it. 4hrs 52. A nice time for me.
It was great to meet so many of you. Shame I missed booktrunk.
My legs, knees, hips and toes hurt. And as badge of honour, one of the toes nails has turned black. Lol.
So I'm sitting at home with veggie pizza and a pint of dark island beer. One pint will be enough tonight!
Well done everyone. Now I know why you do it.

crumbs: Amazing runners. I managed a 3:16 feeling very sub-level.
Love to you all for finishing.

AllyBallyBee really, really pleased you dug in and did it. Even if I am a germ-infested disaster and didn't get to meet you
So - are we starting a list for next year?
