I feel very much on the edge of 'can I do a marathon?', and the answer changes daily...but I think in 6 months time I will regret it if I don't at least try to sign up. So I'll go for a place and worry about it in October . I will enter the ballot and elect to pay in October when (hopefully!) funds are a tad easier to come by!
I ran the VLM in 2013 clocking 02:59:05 (aged 48) - I want to run the race next year (gave it a miss this time round) , am I correct in assuming that my time from last year will give me automatic entry in 2015 (I hope so!)
Would be grateful if someone could confirm this for me

But anyway - this is if they don't change it next year, there have been a few rumours...
Thanks for posting the link to 2014 GFA info, I was aware of it
I was just wondering if anyone else who has a GFA time from 2013 was planning to run next year on the basis that it should still be valid - thanks for the help though
I entered last years ballot at 7am and got straight through and got a place and ran last week..... yeah!!! a week after Paris.... I ran London in 2009 and have been trying ever since but didn't succeed, hence entering Paris (first come, first served) so it was a shock when I got into London after I'd entered for Paris. Paris is far nicer to run , but London is mega !! thanks to all who cheered this old git on, didn't know so many people knew me, when you realise you ain't gonna win and you can walk a little (sorry, but I am 63) it takes the pressure off and you can really enjoy a fantastic day, probably the best days I've had after the birth of my kids and grandkids and my second divorce! ps.. I'm still going to try when I get home from work at midnight tho' must run.
This is annoying. I fill in the details and it keeps saying "Please correct the errors below" but won't indicate what the errors are! Anyone else getting this?
I fear that by the time I get in, maybe about daybreak, all the places will have gone!
Finally found the problem. I was using Internet Explorer 8, and got nowhere. I then changed browser to Firefox, and when I checked the button for "UK Athletics club members £31 entry fee" another box appeared asking for the name of my running club. That didn't appear when I used IE8. After filling in the name it all went through smoothly.
My number was 130xxx. As they usually start from 100,000 that means 30 thousand have already entered by 2am!
Thanks to Stephen R for the tip - worked OK via Firefox. I reckon there will be some very frustrated people trying to enter today and hitting the IE problem.
The website states that it has accepted my application but nocredit card detailswere necessary! Is this the same for others or do I need to contact the organisers?
It starts at 100000 every year. Anyone who's just got in like to give us their number? As soon as it gets to number 225000 the shutters come down. Will it be before 11.25am beating last year's record?

Thanks for the advice everyone. Really helpful.

Good luck everyone.
Hi, hopefully not a stupid question.....
The London GFA times state, in my case, sub 3:15, so do I need to have run 3:14:59 as a minimum or 3:15:59 minimum to qualify??
My time on Sunday was 3:15:22.....think I missed out !????
Sub 15 means what it says, so yes - 3.14.59 maximum.
Sorry WH, not good enough unfortunately, unless you are 50+.

Normal ballot it is then next week. Come October if it's a rejection, then I'll be off to Manchester in April 2015 ????

Of course you could have found that yourself.

It's open now for anyone interested.

Yes, getting the same problem
Fill in every single field, and double check your emails and your passwords, they're the usual ones.
have you also checked the Terms and Conditions at the bottom?

Same problem for me ianC I've given up
Ian, that's the norm, you only need to give card details in October if you get a place.
Payment is taken once your name is drawn around October time. You get a notification and submit your payment details then.
Thank you both. Reassuring.
Thanks Mc hilly and limper just entered no problem
the wait continues....
I entered at 8am with no problems
How many race places actually get allocated in the ballot?
They never tell you that, but I bet it's not as many as get sold to the charities!
I'm hoping for a GFA at Kent Roadrunner next month...if it happens, guess I can apply again via GFA entry system?
1.00 am. Number 125xxx. How do you know it starts at 100000?
