This thread has been rolling since 2005-2006 times and renews itself every year. We're a friendly, supportive bunch. Many people keep coming back to run the same marathon and there are always new 'faces' on the thread. So join in, introduce yourself. We've always got lots to talk about and sometimes it even has to do with running and Paris. Welcome

I am in for my first Paris Marathon. Looking forward to it.
Wooohoo the new thread..
Greetings to all, new and familiar, here it is Paris 2015 officiel, well done TD. Looking forward to returning to those cobbles (which weren't that bad actually) once again.
Hello Everyone, especially those who are reading this in 2015. Thread moves quickly so just jump in and the deep end, don't stalk, decloak and say hello. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
PS. Watch out for Scott.
aye aye!
this is my adopted home for Spring 2015 Marafun cause no one else'll have me ....
I'll keep you company, the Jimbob. No Paris 2015 for me but I'm too old to move thread....
Welcome to all the Parisfirstimers. You will have a ball.
Hello new thread x
so many new people fabulous love reading all the comment s
Orapidrun - mmm did not enjoy the cobbles x
Bonjour bonjour. Smells a bit funny in here....
I'm not running it this time but I shall hang around with my taser and sharp stick
Hello everyone.
No Paris 2015 for me either, but if ok I will lurk here....
DV - following on from your last post re electrolyte replacement. I have been given this a lot of thought with regards my summer of running... Wondering since anywhere(except north pole) is likely to be hotter than I am used to, would you advise me taking this?? I have tried Nunn tablets in the past but get a bit nauseous with them and would rather something I don't have to add to water?? Would it help combat my swelling during and post race??
has the list fairy created a bib list of all the pre-registered dudes and dudettes? would be good to see how many were caught on the first round
I've not decided about next year, but have loved running Paris that last three years. I'll wait to see how stupid I'm feeling post Loch Ness before deciding my fate for this one!
So this is what premature evacuation feels like...I'm not sure I had peaked on 2014 thread yet...
Kaz: I found a marked difference in how I feel after long runs using the Hi-5 electrolyte tabs. Can you get them where you are? I also found magnesium (contained in the Hi-5 tabs) help with post run swelling and cramp. Even better is this product but I'm not sure if you can get it into the UK.
I've signed up for 2015. Possibly against my better judgment. But I've got about 10 months to get over that.
Hello new thread and threaders.
Bonjour mes amis! Am I late? Looking forward to Paris 2015 after having an absolute blast last year. Fun, transvestites, disco tunnel and wine - need I say more?
In the undecided camp about 2015, but think I'll stick around!
Electrolyte-wise I use "Winner's stuff" mostly for the name, and the great range of flavours (strawberry and rhubarb anyone?), but it does elctrolytes and vitamins, which I think helps with post long run colds, etc... we found it in Austria, but now order online... It's powder though, so not much use when out and about, nuun is the preference then.
Bonjour tout le monde
I haven't signed up for Paris yet, I'll wait until the Autumn. Only because I'm unorganised though. I love Leggy's description of last years Paris but Yer Maj is scaring me.
Excellent. Let's keep it that way
Morning all.
Well if there is going to be a bib fairy then mine is 59968 in the pink pen, going for broke from the back of the field
The stick is very fluffy. You'll be fine BM.
Now let's get serious...poo...how regular and where are you on the chart?
Coo-ee, hi all! Like many of you, I'm undecided about Paris as yet, will wait for the Autumn to roll around. If I don't run I might well spectate.
Nice shiny new thread!
Do you realise I actually have to use that very chart every day of my working life at the moment. I'm supposed to be a specialist gyneacology nurse but my ward is always taken over by elderly care patients, all on stool charts. For the uninitiated we are discussing this:
and since you ask, I'm about a number 5 on trail runs currently
Hi.
Can't speak a word of the lingo, so not really sure why i've signed up to run in Paris, must be the nice people on the thread I'm certainly not going to get onto Eurosports coverage
PS type 2 or 6
My dog is a Type 3.
Hello Keith L and Booktrunk. I see you are new around these parts. Feel free to be autobiographical but no need to keep mention turds. Not that this has ever stopped anyone in the last few years.
Am feeling dreadful today. Good bout of lurgy. Had a bit of a fever earlier on, ache all over. Was supposed to be running a race in my home town tmrw night but not sure I am going to be up for that. Not with a 170km bike ride on Saturday too.
Hello
...I won't be doing a spring marathon next year, so I'm just here to work out Emmy's secret to mega marathoning and follow TD's slow slide into triafferlon.
7 hilly and hit miles in Nashville this morning. Legs a bit tired after Saturdays long run, but at the same time I'm feeling pretty strong for the upcoming race.
TheGettingFasterEveryYearEngineer - how nice of you to stick your head in
I've never even waxed my chest so I've got no chance of being a triathlete. Anyway, it's the offseason and I'm not very aero.
