You're fine until the water is off you, then the parasites burrow to escape the dryness. You'll be ok if you scrub yourself clean after the swim, which if often hard at a lake.
800m was a nice paced warm up, but you're not going to win or lose it on that. Bike was gorgeous. No major potholes, lovely swooping descents (got 41 mph on a basic bike). The 3km run seemed to last for at least 5km.
What? it was a 5km run? That explains why the last km lasted forever.
Great physio.
I don't call £38 cheap. It's not like we paid for a commercial traffic management company to close off any roads.

I have never heard of this but just doing a quick google on it
it doesn't look good,
I hope it's not too bad for you mate
They've cancelled the swim. I can't say that I'm upset.
I had it in 2012.

Even harder if you're in transition, and can't take a shower and have a good scrub down before getting on your bike.
I did the Worcester 'Duathlon' yesterday (Triple Sprint). Cheap and cheerful, not the easiest course but a good hit out. How did you find it Blister?

Cheap for a triple (2.2k swim/85k bike/15k run) maybe not so cheap for a sprint. Obviously turned into a du as well...
