Recorded and watched very late last night.
Quite cruel this launch show then a 3 week wait for the real thing.
Some interesting pairings, and less "who???" moments than the last couple of years.
Finding the new boy Trent annoying already. Just a weeeeee bit too enthusiastic, perhaps?
Frankie's husband looked a bit like a green-eyed monster when she got paired up with Kevin.
I suspect the young thin females and Tom Evans/Simon Webb will be the contenders.

Strictly is back. and not a moment too soon.
I didn't watch the launch show, for the same reason I don't watch football pre-season. It's not the real thing, and it's good to hold off just a few more weeks. ratchet up the excitement another notch
they seem a nice bunch.
usual complaints in the papers about them not being a very starry bunch of celebs. but that doesn't matter, does it?
Didn't watch the launch show, like dude, I'm waiting for the real thing. And the best news........they finally put Bruce out to grass!! Now I can watch it live and don't have to record so I can fast forward him!!!!

Can I just make you all (well some of you) jealous and say that I met Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe at a local event (dinner, show and a meet and greet afterwards). They were gawjuss.
And I went to Brendan's stage show too - his usual partner (not from Strictly) was ill or injured, so Aliona was standing in.
I know he's not longer in it but Vincent Simone is doing some workshops in Cathedral Square Peterborough this month for Italian weekend.
I will be there!
Anyone here dance? I use it as cross training but the heels play havoc with my calves when I'm doing high mileage so I have to be careful and get the foam roller out a lot!

After hearing from Judy Murray what her sons had to say about her taking part I really hope she does very well and rubs their noses in it - Jaimie said "But mum, you can't dance" and Andy said "you will be terrible". They seemed to have missed the point that this is all about learning to dance!
after all he has put her through over the years, he'd better bloody turn up and support her. and bloody well like it.

Claudia Wankelman - rubbish. Comes accross like a shy nerd desperately overcompensating.
Watching her is even more painful than a max HR test.
Tess does need to learn how to keep her knees together when she wears short dresses. Take a queue from the dancers on how to stand.
Been away and just caught up. Have to say I'm not immediately taken with anyone. And what has Claudia done to her hair? I know the fringe was odd but I liked it. Don't like Tess as a presenter so far either. Oh dear, it can only get better - can't it?
