When running this years London marathon I felt cramp starting to kick in after about 16 miles. Luckily it never actually kicked in properly. Recently during a half marathon I started to feel a very slight cramp near the end.
Why is this? How can I avoid it? What am I doing wrong?
Any ideas?


  • Could be you are not properly hydrated.
    I suffer badly from cramp (side effect of dialysis), I'm prescribed Quinnine tablets which work wonders. Drinking tonic water has the same effect (gin optional).
