  • Sam hasn't lost anything this week according to the scales. However last weeks weigh in was after 3 days of trots.
    Hoping that cos I have maintained that weight, some fat has now come off.

  • I didn't eat my din dins last night, instead, opted to consume my calories thru the medium of beer.
  • I don't eat after 5pm now so didn't eat din dins either but did have 2 glass of rioja!

  • Oh pantman....we were doing weekly weigh-ins...that way it won't yo-yo but do it however you like. I did sneak a look at the scales this morning in case Monday was a fluke...thankfully it wasn't but that's it until Tuesday (I'm in Barcelona on Monday).

    OK - Mondays is it?

    BTW, for weekly weight I weigh myself daily, ignore the heaviest and lightest, and then average the remaining 5. As weight can fluctuate even on that one day a week, this is a more consistent way (weigh?) of doing it, IMHO and experience.
  • Pantman that is very scientific method indeed. In fact too good. so for all you daily weighers...that's the way to do it.

    I personally find looking at the scales everyday either super exciting (when loss has been made) or a bit disheartening (when gaining) so the once a week is what I'm going to stick to as I don't want to get obsessed by it.

    I think that publishing it weekly though will give me the incentive to stick it out though....my UFRWRC slimming club. (and it doesn't cost a thing)
  • Wolfy - Nothing after 5pm? I've heard of no carbs after 5pm (no carbs in vodka, YAYYY!!) but nothing at all seems a bit extreme.
    I MUST eat after my evening runs or I end up trying to eat the wife in my sleep (ooh err!!), although she does bite back.
    Come to think of it, I quite enjoyed that last time so long run & no dinner tonight and see what happens (tube of arnica at the ready!!!).
  • oooh thank goodness for another daily weigher.

    i find weekly weigh-ins a bit hit and miss so much prefer the daily variety. although my weight fluctuates all week i don't get the horrible "lost nothing" of a weekly weigh in when in fact i've lost 2lbs and its just a daily blip.

    today I've had special K with red bits, several oranges, two bananas, some grapes, a toasted corned beef sandwich, choccy biccie, several cups of tea, a ickle bowl of porridge and I'm about to have pizza.

    :o/

    So if anyone's going to huggle me on Friday can you wait til I've sucked my tummy in, please?
  • AG - If you run evenings then you MUST eat some carbs (low GI preferably) ASAP after. Keep it moderate though. If not running then do avoid carbs at that time.
