Fourstar, you shouldn't have any trouble getting to the start where ever you stay in London as long as you leave yourself plenty of time. I will be coming from further afield than Waterloo

I hope everyones training is going well, I nearly messed mine up on Sunday doing Walton on Thames half and my pace was all wrong so my finish time was bad, lesson learnt and now looked at my pacing again and reajusted ,

No VMLM for me this year but Windermere instead...
Just checking in, how are all the runners and supporters getting on ? I think Im ready got 4 x 20milers under my belt inc a race yesterday and a 22 miler which I managed no stopping . Ill be travelling downn on coach with my club mates bright and early and going back on train with my family.

Morning! Please can I add myself to the runners list (I tried to cut and paste but the format went berserk).
Usual requirements at mile 17 - glass of fizzy ( I will leave some at Expo), a few hugs and a couple of "You're looking great"s, please.
My training has been crap but I am relying on my sheer bloody-mindedness to get me round

Hello guys. Not long to go now so it is time to move on to the next stage.
Each of the runners and supporters will be assigned to a group. Individual threads will be started for each group where you can chat to your team and get to know each other. I think all of our supporters this year have run marathons and most of them have done London so feel free to ask them about their experiences.
I will post the groups below in a minute and then set up the individual threads. When you find your group then pop in and tell your group leaders the following information:
If there are any more runners or supporters out there then it isn't too late to take part. Just let me know and I will assign you to a group

Just to remind everyone that if you have any special needs then please tell us in advance and we can have them at Mudchute waiting for you. You can leave your special needs at the Runners World stand at Expo when you register and collect your number. We will gather them all up last thing Saturday and get them to Mudchute for you.
Please can I also ask for financial contributions. We are all volunteers and we do need money to buy the balloons, jelly babies, jaffa cakes etc. While the volunteers usually buy some things out of their own pockets we can provide a better level of support if we can spend a bit more.
Post race drinks
It is traditional for the runners and supporters to meet up after the event, where the runners can tell us all about their day and show off their medals. If you want to join us we will be on the ground floor of Chandos, just off Trafalgar Square. Supporters will probably start arriving around 4 or 5pm
Thank you SuperCaz. I am going to have my hair changed quite drastically before the marathon so will bring a photo and special supplies to Expo. Will bung you a few quid then too!
Hi SuperCaz - I can come along to support this year if there's still space - I do a mean job with the handing out of jelly babies and opening the bottles
