Hi Last week I had ankle surgery (arthroscopy and cheilectomy ) this was to remove a small bone spur which was causing pain . Prior to the op I was training for an Iron distance race . I am confident that I can resume swimming and cycling (turbo at first) in the next week or so, my consultant said that it may be possible to start light running after 3-4 weeks .I don't want to rush recovery and was wondering if anybody has had similar surgery and how long it took to recover and if so how did you approach your running after ?. The race isn't until Sept and there is always a half option to consider but I still remain hopeful. Thanks.
