Whats your 5k time like on the rower? Dont take the piss but i always come of the treadmill after running at 16.5kmph for 18mins then speeding up to 20kmph for the last two mins when im in gym.
Obviously im gonna be tired from this, have a splash of water then five mins later do 1500m on rower and it takes 5:10 to 5:20 usually.
Is that not bad considering im about 10 stone 4, 18, and just ran like mad on treadmill?
SR, i dont know actually, havnt acurately weighed up. Its probably ALOT more, iv been at uni, eating shi*e and drinking alot. I dont look anywhere close to out of proportion though. im well structured.
An ya dint answer that really did ya?
LML! where ya been recently? iV just been checking forum now and again, had stuff to do. My tv aint workin too so im buggered! ......
An West Ham have finally sold some donkeys! David James has gone, and so has Ian Pearce! In comes John Harley who i rate as fantastic and the wonder WELSHMAN Andy Melville!
Can i join in too???? What is the upper age limit anyway.. oh and is it ok to call myself a runner when i cut my running ages ago from 5 days a week to err well usually erm well one!
Went to athletics tonight, got there slightly late an missed the middle distance groups road run, so started with the 'sprinters'. Went with a guy and burnt him off, they were only doing 2 sets of 3x200metres. I dint wana just do them mediocre so i went for it, might as well try gain summat i thought?
i then said, "dont wait for me will ya?", dint know if he was being sarcastic, so did the same for the rest, then did 5 more 200's when theyd finished. went back to the shed an they said summat bout middle distance runner....tsch,.....too strong for that stuff....then..."oh, here he is!"
i was like, "have i done something?"
"no, no, no....hmmm?
Whats the best thing about 26 year olds??
there's 20 of them!
(yuck)
dont think any less of me, heard it from someone last nite!
had your day?? Dont be daft, i get frustrated at my shape after a layoff, im impacient but you lose fitness 2 to 3 times quicker than you gain it, therefore it takes 2 or 3 days of training to match the individual days you missed.
You'l be fine soon, enter a small "Mickey mouse" race an see how you do, then take it from there. thats what i did, it got me wanting to do better cos i knew i could.
i ran 5 miles this morning then did that session tonight! : ) (am i making you feel lazy? guilty?)
....well i say this morning my body clock means that 12 o clock is first thing in morning now (lazy bugger arnt i). its not that i lye in, its just when i wake up.
Ya need to do one in the next month. it'l make ya start working hard now, rather than later, and give you a sense of direction.
You'l look back at how it went and want to race again (not just as you cross the line obviously, if your like me you'l want to curl up and have a sexy young welsh, Lolly loving paramedic run over, fondle your body and give you an oxygen mask! tee hee)
You'l probably wanna enter another to see how your progressing, and to bhave a crack at beating your time. You reap what you sow darling, so start sowing now.
I had this mad thought on Saturday that if I pay £22 to enter the race, it mite make me motivated to make sure I actually train and turn up on the day....
I hoping to do it in under 2hours which sounds rubbish but deep down I wanna do less than 1.14... we'll see..........

Lets talk about.......
(remembers Stifler were nobbut a toddler when that was a hit)
yeah, ya right. Im still a toddler now, got a kink in my leg, my PB over 10k was set running backwards.
7 miles nice and easy - total milage for the whole week that one!
Might test over 5k on the rowing machine tomorrow

Not bad at all for someone that doesn't do rowing, possibly better than a lot of rowers that I know. It is a short distance though
I'm hoping for anything quicker than 16.50 for the 5k PB is 16.53.5 so it should be on the cards.
just not sure if to do it this week (tomorrow) or next
only messing
Yup Pic is Gwd! Ta!!

No running today, was raining (poor excuse) and my upper body is aching from the 50 press ups last night (not liking my new plan to get fit)
It's so hard to get back into it after 18months off, plus I'm no spring chicken!
Do u think I might need to build up my one day a week??
