    Well done Joe, great time.

Falkirk Parkrun for me today, 19:06.  Bit slower than usual but my wife did her 1st one ever so was more worried about her than myself!  She did 33 mins or so and was pleased with her first ever participation in a running event of any sort!

Did 5.3 afterwards and 1.6 before to make 10 for the day and 62 for the week - a mega week for me!

Lyrics, yes.  Birkmyre, glad yesterdays were not Wham...

Well done Joe, Donaldo, and Mrs Donaldo on your Parkruns.
Birks - that's a long one for a Saturday. Hope it goes quickly for you. Ditto AOH with your CPD.

Really good ride out today for me. Felt strong on bike (for me) and averaged over 16mph. Lovely weather too and the Wye valley looked lovely. Just need to keep upping the mileage now...consistent consistency!!

What: 30 miles bike with 842 metres of climbing
    Why: Bike day
    Last hard: not today strangely
    Last rest: Weds
    Lyrics: nope

    Afternoon!

As Alex says, well done to Joe and the Donaldos!

    What: 8.01k largely off road

Why: decent day, although a little breezy at times. Would like to have done more, but Achilles playing up a bit: suspect it is from 3 days of running on the roads.

Joe: what kit will you be wearing tomorrow, or number? Will give you a shout!

OH: shame there is no match on! Enjoy lunch!

Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Meant to say, I know the lyrics: think I used them the first weekend one November! You do need a passport for this one!

Cross training: lawns mowed and a little digging done. Currently taking a short interval to listen to the footie scores.

And talking of consistent consistency, where's Pammie?

Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Congratulations Joe. Hope you have a good one tomorrow.

Nice to get Mrs D involved too Donaldo.

I think the sun helps no end when it comes to the bike Alex.

My short and easy turned into 6 miles progressive must remember that I'm not going to do anything to make next Sunday easier in the next week but I could do the opposite. More is not better.

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Nice work from Joe and the Donaldos image

6 miles should not have done any harm, LMH . You'll be fine.

    What: 8 easy

    Why: beautiful day

    Last hard: Thursday

Last rest: 1/4 (consistency image )

    Lyrics: yes
  • I didn't think it had a week out chicksta - but I need to start putting the handbrake on and sticking to my plan (even if it is all in my head) which basically involves easing right back and being as fresh as possible on the day. Can't let the fresh taper legs take advantage of my weakened mental state image

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    hi,
    well done park run people
    wonder how Gobi got on
    Joe - good luck tomorrow
    what - 2 1/2 hours steady
    why - ultra
last rest - Thursday was very easy
    last hard - today maybe
Was an absolutely stunning day out there today. Blue skies and a gentle breeze to stop it being too hot. Ideal running conditions.
    lyric - think so

  • Gobi did good as well expected. I'm sure he'll be along to elaborate
  • Lyrics yes. That's a big streak for me. Two consecutive.

LMH, as you say, lovely on the bike today. A bit fresh to start, but plenty of layers, and the opportunity to peel off. The big guns were away on training camp in Majorca, so it was an even smaller group of remnants (3) who went for a scenic and gentle ride, including coffee. Ride total was 60 miles including my add-ons after the end of the ride. I may have to step up the intensity to make the jump to Group 1.

Apparently the lakes are up to 12 degrees now. I should be in there, but the air temp was still only 6 this morning. Please define the boundary of sanity....
