quiet turbo trainer
John Smith 7
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced indoor trainer that is quiet? I have never used an indoor trainer so am a bit in the dark.
elite elastogel ones are good, and pretty quiet
I have a lovely quiet turbo trainer - it has to be quiet, we live in an apartment, and have to think of our neighbours.
It's a GIST fluid turbo trainer (fluid trainers are quiet but very heavy).
It cost £125 and I got it from www.oldhamcyclecentre.co.uk.
It has a very interesting picture on the box, boys....
yep my elastogel one is fluid
they are quite good too as resistance increases with speed - just like being on the road, innit lizzie
'cept my living room doesn't have wind, rain, midges, homicidal drivers, suicidal dogs, tourists who stop in front of me in their hire cars and take my photo, Mr B shouting at me to increase my speed and asking why I let myself be dropped...
Nor does it allow me to have the joy of doing a 'two up' and screaming past an unwary cyclist/moped rider.
Aaah, roll on the spring ...
John - go for the gist and show us the box !

Many thanks for the recommendations. cycleexpress have the elastogel one at £109 which looks a good deal.
