seren nos: Snap. training has been lousy, but hey! these things happen. Managed one 60km run so that's not to bad (haha, only a half marathon away from halfway ).
My training has gone to plan....nothing like the real fear of a dnf to get me out there.,,also Doing the weekend runs with hubby has helped...up to nearly 70 miles a week now..but so glad that next week us a cutback week...
Even ran at midnight or 4 am to fit some runs in and not miss them...only 9 weeks to go
its OK for you Pudge...you are young..I am middle aged with a knackered body.,,on a normal day I usually have an afternoon nap and I'm in bed by 9....to go over 40 hours without sleep is the hardest part
You don't want to be going over 40 hours Seren, isn't that the cut off. 70 miles is big, my biggest week is around that but they're few and far between. 40 is my sweet spot, although I have managed a 54 mile training run.
Sean....I was thinking I would be awake for the few hours before the race..so in total over 40.
Most of our long rins have been around 27 to 33...with a 10 to 15 the next day....we did one 59 miler on Easter good Friday....,(got lost ...was aiming for 50).....
We have a 50 and a 100km booked for the next month..

Not me....but will hopefully be trying to follow updates....I'm still struggling to mentally get my mind around a 100 miles

Well, you'd better hurry up and get your head round it - only 2 months to go
My fiance is doing the Thames Ring - just the 250 miles

Although, unlike you, I do push the boat out and stay up till 10pm some nights
So staying up to 1 am is where I am going wrong!

I decided to risk it for a biscuit.
Going to be having nightmares about river scenes for the rest of the year!
Good luck
Thanks, I might need it!
