LFSF: your number needs to be on the front at all times so that it is clearly visible. You run the risk of disqualification if its not on display - although they have to identify your race number first to disqualify you
I'm finding this taper week hard, not used to hardly any running. Went out on a works due last night. A few beers, so u can c I'm not taking this race as serious as others I've done. Last run tomorrow between 4/6m slow followed by easy gym workout.
So I'm definitely racing on Monday - 6mi tonight with 2@MP which felt really easy so my legs are raring to go. Knee is still a bit tight but I'm gonna risk it and hope the ITBand behaves itself. My legs feel too good to not give it a shot.
That's it, last run completed 4.7m nice and steady. Still got pain around groin area but nothing too bad. Legs felt good, now to carboload and drink plenty next 48 hours. out to St. Albans soon while it is sunny. How is everyone feeling now!!!!
Stephen: feeling good and getting s bit excited but not about the weather. 4 easy miles this morning. Probably do 3 miles tomorrow morning to keep the legs ticking over
Things going happily and the a little before mile 20, an imp hammered a nail into each calf. The resultant cramp made running nigh on impossible. Walked most of last 7 miles. Chatted to some people. At mile 23, I put a high 5 electrolyte tablet in a bottle of water. May have helped to jog last mile.
Finishing time 4:05:29. First marathon so a PB. Probably last for a long while too.

Very wet and very windy on Monday - ideal!!!
I got by just wearing vest and shorts during the storm in 2012. You won't need a jacket, just wear the man suit.

looking forward to carboload.
AWC- you will be fine, just run how it feels is what they say. One thing for sure it won't b a hot sunny day, let's just hope not too much rain

Calm and excited.
Trying to be the first anyway while looking forward to my first marathon.
Regular light stretching of left hip and groin area and I should be ok for fun in MK.
Now it is up to the weather not to be mucky. I don't feel very athletic when running into a wind.
AWC- I was thinking of going out tomorrow, might c how the day goes.
Will go through my gear tonight so that I can get anything else I may need tomorrow.
My wife 'put away' my gel belt a couple of weeks ago so need to try and find it.
Thanks Surrey runner, as if we won't be tired enough by then
AWC- you are not helping my nerves LOL
Good job I am not chasing a qualifying time for Rio.
But still windy - aggggh.
Time to be uncharacteristically brave.
19 mph wind, force 5 on the Beaufort scale where force 7 is a gale.
According to my weather forecast dry until 2pm wind will be ok.
my bag is packed gels and drinks ready.
Wrap up warm folks as 8am will be cold. Final decision to make is vest top with t.shirt underneath or just vest top.
going for a nice walk now in the woods stretch legs then relax.
Not doing as much carboload as normal as I found I get too heavy.
This could be an interesting race
What time are people planning to get there?
I expect to get there around 9. Will be bringing the wife and child to cheer me on.
Need to work out how that tracker works.

I really would not like to have to drive back to High Wycombe afterwards. I am sure I would be dangerous.
My wife will be driving me too. Pretty sure I couldn't manage an hours drive after a marathon.
Going for a long run today. Shall start at the back of the yellow pen.
Weather forecast is unchanged but this part of Buckinghamshire looks calm.
Good luck to you all.
By number is 0730 in case we can say "hello ".
Sean
0375 in case anyone sees me. Try and follow the 3 hour pacer but may slip back to the 315.
not good sleep , woke up at 3 and didn't get back till 5.
Good luck everyone
Good luck everyone, weather looks good - dry and winds are calm at the moment. I'll be cheering you on from The Ship pub around mile 14!

But it was worth doing.
