well done to the cyclists - it rained a lot here today so I turboed, met a friend for lunch and we went to see Trainspotting this evening.

Hello, can I join you in this thread. I have lurked a bit on the old thread and now found you on this new one.
I have met MC, Meldy and Podds in real life at various Triathlons. This year I am back to running, well to be precise rejoined the local womens running club beginners group so very much run/walk at present.
There is a parallel universe where gaps in time get lost forever.
I feel at home already.

I had a call from Mum's SW yesterday to say that, now that Mum needs 2 people and a hoist to move her, it will be too expensive to return her home, so she is recommending a care home. That is what I want - but it is pretty galling that the decision seems to be made 100% on financial grounds rather than what is best for Mum
