in light of the official event being mothballed is the forum version still going? if so I'd like to put myself forward for a mentor, giving something back is a big thing for me

Are you talking of the Asics 26.2 challenge? Don't think it's going ahead.... Mens Running and Womens Running have their big marathon project (which asics are sponsoring) but they have already chosen their 4 runners.

With no asics competition I doubt theyll be much interest in this either. No one really wants the alternative route tbey want tbe asics route. Shame as folks are missing the cance to do well. I was a mentor last year and there wasnt much interest in following it, although I think that they had too many threads which diluted the interest.

I wouldn't mind being mentored for a sib 3:50 if anyone is interested.. ..it's a tall ask at the moment.

I did consider this and then discounted for a few reasons already mentioned ...sometimes a break is good 

nothing to say that some mentor/me tee partnerships can't spring up or may be we do a spring one targeting an Autumn marathon for a change? We don't have enough time to sort out the usual Christmas one

I need a mentor for Christmas. Doubt I'll make it through in one piece otherwise.
