Bugger! Fingers crossed they get it resolved in time. We are due to fly out at 8.10 am saturday from there...any suggestions for a cheap alternative? I wonder how long it takes to drive to Berlin... )
(at least my newly purchased travel insurance will cover me!)
I'm flying Thursday and will have internet access out there so if any of you get stuck with flights and therefore registration, let me know & I'll be happy to try and help!
Why is it that when you have runs scheduled you really don't want to do them and yet when you have a week to virtually do nothing you want to take on 10 miles everyday?!!! I'm hoping for a little rain to be honest on the day as I think it helps to keep you fresh and cool - being a little beanpole however, I'll sulk if it's windy and will probably end up in the river!
48 hour strike Looks like it is going ahead , airlines say there will be minimal disruption as they will make sure incoming planes will be fully fueled before coming to heathrow therfore shorthaul flights will be ok , Iam not so sure ,hopefully I can also get to Berlin as I am on a BA flight at 7am sat,Is it possible for someone else to register for you without registration forms
I've lost the plot!!! I'm flying early hours of Friday morning - staying near Heathrow Thursday night! Just booked parking online - much cheaper option if any of you are leaving the car at the airport.
Nick99, im 99% sure you can. It says somewhere on the website but I can't find it at the mo. If you need to do it then give them a ring, they are quite helpful.
Hi Nick. I had a root about on the site too, all I could find was 'you can't collect number without reg papers'. I have emailed them, hopefully they will confirm. Don't want to send my reg card to my mate unless I have to. Nick
Beetle - I'm running in red white and blue City of Bath vest and hope to run 1.24 ish for first half. I'll just go along with how I feel - I don't tend to use a watch.
Let me know what you're wearing and maybe we'll see each other en route. My number is 25660 I think.
Either way have a fantastic race and keep smiling - that goes for all of us of course.
The marathon organizers have confirmed that someone else can collect your number providing they have the reg card etc. So I might dispatch mine via Bristol airport in case we get stuck at Heathrow. Someone I don't feel comforted that BA says it will all be fine!

Am starting to worry that I wont even get to berlin if this planned 48 hour strike at Heathrow on Friday goes ahead!
The strike doesn't look good, hopefully they will get something sorted.
