I have 4 nights of accommodation (Thurs 21st - Sun 24th April) booked for London Marathon Weekend but, due to unforeseen circumstances, I can't use it and I can't get a refund.
I wonder if there is any Runners World member who is doing or spectating the Marathon, or knows someone else who is, and who still requires accommodation?
It is a flat, sleeping up to 3, situated near to Bexley Heath (a few minutes walk from Barnhurst station, on the direct rail line to Blackheath, so v convenient for the start).
Full details are on e-bay (search for London Marathon under accommodation). Any reasonable offer from a genuine runner will be accepted.
Sincerely
Mark

It's less than 30 mins by direct train to Blackheath. If you are from the north of England, or further afield, it makes a nice weekend break. You need at least 2 days in London so you can collect your race number etc. Convenient either for Central London attractions or an escape into the Kent countryside.
Have you ever tried getting across London on race day ...!! Cattle or whot...!!
Coming in from the East means it is far easier to get a seat on the direct trains (which run every 30 mins)
Ok... it said between 44 and 66 on the bit i read......30 mins isnt so bad then ... ...
I chose this accommodation specifically because it's easy to get to Blackheath, and also back from Victoria afterwards. The flat is only about 4 mins walk from Barnhurst station (good news as you may find it difficult to walk any further after the race!! )
Accommodation nearer to Blackheath (always assuming that you can find any) costs silly money!! This flat is an absolute bargain at £50 per night and also includes FREE parking for the duration.
Hi Mrs M,
Yes it's 4 nights of self catering accommodation (Thurs 21st - Sun 24th April inclusive).
