Hi
I am looking for a bit of guidance if possible. I am using running as a means to help me lose some weight. I did run for a while a few years ago but injuries and parenthood reduced my time.
I am now slowly building my running back up but wanted to know of any supplements anyone may take that have proved useful in helping to shed any weight. i am looking at daily sorts to fit in around improved lifestyle and eating.
any help?

useful thanks
If you have any sensible diet at all you won't need supplements.
if there was really a supplement to help weight lose then the NHS would be giving them out in the bucketfuls to combat the obestity problem.
you just need to work out what method of eating less works best for you
I find the MyFitnessPal app quite useful for tracking what I eat and exercise. It's amazing how lots of little things add up over a day if you don't keep an eye on them. It also has a new "nutrients" tool, which breaks down what you have eaten into carbs/fat/protien and some of the main vitamins, and compares them against recommended intakes/allowances. It highlighted to me that I eat too much sugar (no surprise there) and not enough calcium (more of a surprise), so I'm working on those.
As the others have said, there's no substitute for a balanced diet and exercise for weight loss/control.

As above, supplements are useless and serve no purpose. I lost 40lbs through running and changing my diet for healthy foods. I dropped fizzy drinks and cut back massively on my white carbs, but the biggest thing for me was portion size, its amazing how small a regular portion is. It takes time though and the pounds get harder and harder to drop the more you lose.
There are no safe easy options. Try building up low intensity running or cardio at the gym for 90 mins at a time two or three times a week (even if its jogging and brisk walking) - gets your metabolism going 24/7.
