Feeling flush, so entered already. I used to spend a lot of time in Stirling, and this race has the potential to be a really good one. Agree £55 is a bit steep, but seems like a bargain compared to the Great North Run!
Seems to be setting up in competition with Edinburgh - the weekend before (assuming Edinburgh falls on the same weekend as this year) and the same price.
330 - there are more than you think. I've done a wee trawl and found all these......
Glentress (trail) - February Meadows (Edinburgh) - March Edinburgh - May Cape Wrath - May Strathearn - June Dundee - July St Magnus, Orkney - July Fort William - July Glasgow - August Loch Ness - September Moray - September Islay - September Glencoe - October Rannoch - October
To be fair, although it's partly expensive because it's being organised by Great Run, it's also going to be expensive to close city centre roads - a lot of the other Scottish marathons are quite rural and low-key, so they're not as expensive to put on.

Is that in Sterling near Stirling?
They could televise it and get Dougie Donnelly to do the commentary.
Done 130, £55 ridiculous, perhaps the most expensive I've seen.
Agree Terry its mad mate
But up here in Scotland theres not that many so not a lot of choice, will do it if after my holidays entry is still open
I just choked on my sandwich.

Ooh, I'd not heard of that one Terry.
One lap, undulating on the second half, not £55, no where near.
