Its that time of year again and the inskip half is open for entries with www.bookitzone.co.uk or www.niftyentries.com. Only 220 places left so if you want an entry don't leave it to late. INSKIP HALF MARATHON Sunday 22nd January 2017 Start 10.30am This is a accurately measured mildly undulating Fast course taking in the lanes of the Fylde & Wyre countryside. Race HQ is at HMS Inskip, Higham Side Rd, Inskip, Nr Preston Lancs, PR4 0TF. Parking and Toilets and refreshments at race HQ, Please car share as parking is tight. Course Record stands at 1hr 8mins45 secs held by Stewart Robison and there is a ??50 bonus for new record. There is a 2hr 45 min cut of due to the time of year. Prizes to first 3 male/female all vet categories, first male and female team 4 to count. Refreshments will be on sale at a small charge and there will be meat or veg hotpot for all entrants. Entry Fee ??18 attached ??20 unattached limit is 500 and is PRE entry only. You can enter with Bookitzone,and niftyentries PRE ENTRIES ONLY NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY Closing date for entries will be 10th Jan 2016 and all postal entries will be posted out with race info sheet. Its gone mad this weekend with 2 clubs 24 entries from DH runners from Carlisle and 26 from Halifax Harrier.

This year's Inskip race is called Race for Rosie and the money from the race will be donated to her charity which is Cystic Fibrosis. Only 35 entries left.

Very enjoyable event today. Flat fast course PB potential. Very supportive marshals.  Nice post race food and goody bag.  Nice time of year to gauge fitness.  Highly recommended.  Great bus trip with the mighty DH Runners.

Just competed in the 2017 Inskip Half Marathon and had an awesome day. A little chilly to start off with but half a kilometer perfect weather, fresh but beautiful country roads snaking between farmers fields and small villages. Plenty of friendly marshals cheering us on. Four water stations which was great, and being able to pass the finish line and cue up for some hot pot and pickled red cabbage. Great friendly atmosphere. Managed a new PB. Awesome day all round. Thanks to organisers and helpers.

Great race, lovely course, managed to smash my PB and my wife shaved 15 minutes off her previous half marathon best!!

The marshals were brilliant, water stations just at the right points and a cracking goodie bag and medal at the end. Well done!

I am from Northumberland (Tynedale harriers), your terrain is surreal. Flat and fast was no understatement. Loved it (apart from miles 10 and 11 when my legs felt like jelly).

My last half was the Great North Run in 2007. I ran a PB then of 2:06.  Yesterday I smashed my PB by 13 mins.  So happy with my run, still beaming.
