Ever just have one of those days.....?

Had many of those days when the legs feel like lead, feels like there's glue on the bottom of your shoes, .... and its all slow and laboured but ....

This week - 6 mile training run,mix of canal towpath, Regents Park and Primrose Hill but was flying - 30 seconds per mile off my best previous, one minute over the "normal", Just felt like I wanted to run fast, chasing down that runner ahead, cheerie hellos to fellow joggers, smile on chops, light footed, swift legged.
Where did that come from??
 
My new shoes (Newtons) do seem to make you want to run faster? given up meat for lent? Lost a couple of pounds in weight? Complete flash in the pan? some sort of alien intervention on gps satellites? Is it too late for 10K qualification for World Athletics in August?

Anyone had one of those surreal days?
