I've been running since Feb. Did a few weeks of Couch to 5k, then graduated to my current pattern which is 5k non-stop twice a week (c.33 mins) and a mixed 5k run/walk (intervals) once a week.
I was intending to work slowly towards a 10k in September but a friend has asked if I'll go to one she's signed up for a month from now.
Is this too much too soon? I think I've been very conscious of my body so far and not pushed it too far so I always feel fresh and ready again after a rest day. I know 10k is nothing to some people but even in my 5k runs I do have difficult moments breathing-wise and with tight muscles and am always happy to reach the end!
But part of me thinks meh, give it a go, go easy, stick on an hour long podcast and focus on that.
What do you think?
