Inov8 F-Lite 235 Shoes - okay for running?

Looking for flexible zero-drop shoes with a wide toe box and just a little more padding than my VivoBarefoot shoes, for longer (ultramarathon) road runs (I'm happy at marathon length in the VBs, and love my Inov8 Trailroc 235s for longer trail runs - so they've discontinued them, of course).

These are marketed as a fitness shoe. Anyone got any idea how they do for running?

Probably not very well ? Not many people will be using gym shoes for running and even if they get away with it - its no guarantee you would ?

People who have reviewed them talk about using them for short runs (a few miles). I was hoping someone here might have used them and be able to give me more info.

Interested in this too. I'm a huge Inov-8 fan but have to say non of their shoes last very long for me anyway-anything from 120 - 280 miles. But, if they're great, I don't mind (as long as I don't pay full price)

Ran Comrades in a pair of Race Ultra 270s in the end - 3mm drop so not too bad, and a little bit of padding, which is good for a long (and hilly!) road run. Feet felt fine.
